Beast Mode is the master key
! A chalice used by any player glows dull red and stays dead for the rest of that round. In co-op, agree who is transforming before someone burns the only chalice nearby.
What Beast Mode can do
There is no power switch
! Plan a route before you transform. A single well-planned Beast Mode run can open a whole district; a panicked one gets you three metres and a dead chalice.
Three perks move every game
Open the rift portals early
Pods and Fumigators
! Do not crack purple pods for fun if anyone still needs the Apothicon Servant. Once opened, a pod regrows from green and it is a long wait back to purple.

Pick up the flag
How the flag defence works
! The Shadowman periodically appears in the air near the flag. Shoot him or he floods the area with parasites. Also watch for a Max Ammo above the flag when you pick it back up.
Flag defence locations
One district per round
! If the flag breaks, you also have to end the round to retry — so a bad defence costs the same as a good one. Do not gamble on low ammo.
Give up the swords
Boss — break the shield
Boss — walk him to the table
! Every failed attempt adds 2 seconds to your window and spawns a Margwa, so a miss is survivable. Reactivate all four Keepers and go again.
Boss — cancel his reset
Finale — the corruption
! Failing to cleanse while in Beast Mode costs 40% of your Beast health instead of downing you.
Finale — the new rules
Finale — assign the four roles
! Station fuse boxes sit above the back door of the train in the Canals and the Waterfront, and between both doors in the Footlight. Rounds no longer progress, so anyone who bleeds out respawns when the train is next called — a wipe is not a run-ender.
