Turn on the generators

Gramophone and Black Disc

! With both in hand, interact with the table below the stairs from Pack-a-Punch. That opens the crafting area where all four staffs are built.

Unlock the G-Strike grenades

! Carry it back to the bunker without stepping in mud — go left of the Church across the wooden beams and dry dirt. Place it, get another 20 melee kills, and the G-Strikes appear.

Unlock the One-Inch Punch

! If a Giant Robot steps on a box you are still filling, that box resets. A box already at 30 is safe. With all four full, go to the Rituals of the Ancients box by Generator 6 outside the Church and interact with the bottom icon.

Craft the Maxis Drone

! Craft it at the workbench in the Church. The Maxis Drone is needed twice in the main quest, so build it early.

The four tunnels

A crystal only comes from its own tunnel

! This is the most common wasted trip on the map. Match disc, tunnel and crystal before you set off.

The four statues

! Put each staff back in its slot beneath the mound before building the next one, or you cannot start the new build.

What this is

! One ending, no Maxis or Richtofen split, and fully completable solo. Most of the work is the four staffs, which is why they get their own tab.

Prerequisites

Place each staff in its pedestal

! Once this is done you can go back to the Excavation Site and pick a staff up again. Do that — the next few steps are fights.

Rain Fire — the red button

Rain Fire — the G-Strike

! Do this immediately after the button. Waiting means starting the robot step again, and this timing is the main reason solo runs fail here.

Unleash the Horde

! Go in with full ammo and a staff in hand. This is the fight most likely to end a run.

Skewer the winged beast

! You still have to return to where you originally built the drone to pick it back up, and you need it for the final step.

! You gave up every staff at the altars, so this is the most exposed stretch of the quest. Keep out of the corners and keep swinging.
